Offering a caring, rhythmic environment infused with love and joy where children are cared for with warmth and respect, Sweet Clover Nursery’s curriculum of care is informed by Waldorf education and the principles developed by pediatrician Emmi Pikler.

Sweet Clover Nursery children spend the day in a small, family-like group with children of different ages. With experienced and loving caregivers, the children can begin to test their new sense of self in an environment designed to nurture and support their continued unfolding.
Our daily rhythm provides a balance between active times and rest times, nourishing each child’s sense of health and well-being. The daily rhythm includes creative free play inside and out, practical work (such as baking, cleaning and folding laundry for older children), wholesome organic snacks, storytelling and singing!
Sweet Clover Nursery offers an introduction to Waldorf education to the very young. When your child is of age and ready (3 years old by June 1st, potty-trained, and comfortable socially to be in a larger group environment), our other Early Childhood program offerings provide a natural and easy progression for your child. We are here to help your family navigate which programs will best meet your child every step of the way as they develop and grow!
