Community Winter Spiral

  • Orchard Valley Waldorf School 2290 Vermont 14 East Montpelier, VT, 05651 United States (map)

The spiral is one of nature's many patterns and can be found in shells, flowers, pinecones, fingertips and galaxies. This festival honors the return of light into the world, and the spiral represents the seasonal rhythms and the contemplative journey we take to find our own inner light. The experience of walking the spiral reflects the human experience at this time of the year - a season of less light, shorter days, longer nights and going forward with hope to welcome the light of the sun after the winter solstice.

Our spiral is intended to invoke a mood of reverence, so we ask families to stay together and contribute to that spirit.

Free/By donation and open to the public. Adults and supervised children welcome
