Orchard Valley Waldorf School has a dynamic faculty and staff with a diverse mix of life and work experiences and educational backgrounds. The school is located in Central Vermont, a region of rich natural beauty that offers a wide range of family-oriented and recreational opportunities. The Grace Farm campus is located 8 miles from Montpelier, Vermont’s capital—a small town with big city amenities, including a lively arts and music scene, great restaurants, and an active community life. Our Child’s Garden and Sweet Clover Nursery campuses are both located within Montpelier.

We serve a wide range of families, drawing students from the Central Vermont counties of Washington, Lamoille, Caledonia, and Orange. The local chapter of the Anthroposophical Society, the Green Mountain Branch, sponsors study groups, festivals, and conferences.

Grade 6/7 Class Teacher, Grace Farm
Orchard Valley Waldorf School in East Montpelier, Vermont, is seeking a creative and experienced teacher who is primed to lead one of our middle school classes for the 2019-20 school year. Our ideal candidate possesses teaching experience in Waldorf grades, and has completed their teacher training or is willing to enroll in a training program. This candidate would be excited to work with the growing child, have strong classroom management skills, bring inspired Waldorf teaching in a dynamic way, engage with students, work well with parents and colleagues, and have a deep passion and interest for the world around them.

Orchard Valley’s Grace Farm campus is a small, rural school set on a beautiful 55-acre campus. We follow the Bay School model, offering a full Waldorf curriculum in combined classes. Specialty classes include French, Handwork, Woodworking, and On the Land, an outdoor education program. This campus is also home to an early childhood program and we have chickens, goats, and sheep, which our students help care for.

Early Childhood Teachers, Sweet Clover Nursery
Sweet Clover Nursery (formerly Little Lambs Early Care Center) is seeking both full- and part-time positions. We are also looking for substitute teachers. 

Seeking candidates who are warm, nurturing, kind, and patient. Must be willing to sit on the ground, sing with children, and play outside in all weather. Candidate should have a strong work ethic, be excited to come to work, and have a love of young children. Experience in Waldorf early childhood education is appreciated, but not required. We are willing to train candidates interested in learning specific philosophies and methods of working with children. We are ideally looking for candidates who have three credits in early childhood education or child development.
