Orchard Valley Waldorf School Vaccination Statement

Orchard Valley Waldorf School is not anti-vaccine, nor do we support anti-vaccination movements. The health, safety, and well-being of children are our foremost concerns. Orchard Valley Waldorf School's vaccination policy is in complete accordance with Vermont state and United States federal laws. We respect the legal rights that families have to make health decisions for their families in consultation with their family doctors and religious leaders.

Our administrative staff does their best to stay informed on health data and public trends. We defer to the expertise of the Vermont Department of Health, American Academy of Pediatrics, Vermont Department of Children and Families, Child Development Division, and Center for Disease Control for guidance on vaccination and other health policies and practices. We recognize that schools and childcare centers have an integral role in supporting public health, and do not take this responsibility lightly.
